Tom Hanks on screen and stageList of Tom Hanks performances – Basically, the same reason Triiiple had here, the article appears to be a bare list and the current title seems to suggest that more in depth information regarding Hank's performances should be covered. LADY LOTUSTALK 12:12, 10 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

  • Support per nom.--TriiipleThreat (talk) 12:33, 10 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support. In his 11 "voice only" performances he was neither "on screen [or] stage". However this would open the article to radio work. GregKaye 22:19, 13 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

The above discussion is preserved as an archive of a requested move. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on this talk page or in a move review. No further edits should be made to this section.

Other performances[edit]

This article/list should also include other performances by Tom Hanks. Perhaps, add another section covering appearances in music videos:

Also, why is his appearance/performance on The Late Late Show with James Corden (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1ZWLWxpBv5g) not covered? I think this list is incomplete and must be fixed. 203.215.117.161 (talk) 10:16, 3 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

It isn't protected so (as far as I can see) you are welcome to add a section for music videos. However, the Corden appearance is a guest appearance on a talk show and that's not something that goes in a filmography -- but this particular appearance is notable enough to be added to prose on his bio page. --Musdan77 (talk) 03:22, 4 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Not just performances[edit]

Lots of producer credits are listed here, too. Isn't the title misleading? All Hallow's Wraith (talk) 01:13, 30 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

What do you propose changing it to? ...credits? --Musdan77 (talk) 19:56, 30 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hanks appeared in this documentary, can somebody please add it, thanks.Classic film (talk) 15:13, 14 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Finally added ... 18 months after the above request. — Maile (talk) 00:44, 8 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Leading Role Contradiction[edit]

Article refers to Hanks' role in Splash (1984) as his first leading role, but the linked article for Mazes and Monsters (1982) refers to that as his first leading film role. That's...umm...inconsistent and might require some rewording or correction.

Tom Hanks filmography[edit]

I noticed that the titles in the "Film" section are centered, bold, and italicized on this page. According to the WP:Manual of Style/Tables and reviewing the "Filmography" example in the "Appropriate Use" section, shouldn't the title columns show as being aligned left and italicized only? Which is correct? Shouldn't there be more consistency in regards to the guidelines for Filmographies in tables? Am I wrong? Please let me know. — CYAce01 (talk) 00:45, 29 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

did they miss the 1985 Mazes and Monsters? 71.34.226.47 (talk) 00:24, 7 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
